After a comprehensive tour of the company in the morning, the young visitors were able to experience everyday life in our company at various stations over a two-hour period. From warehouse management and order picking to detailed planning and scheduling, they learned about important areas of responsibility that ensure the smooth running of logistics operations. Alternatively, the children accompanied a parent in the area of road transportation - in this case, the young talents were allowed to spend the day in a truck.
The insights and hands-on experience allowed the children to get to know the professions not just in theory, but in a tangible way, with all the technical and organizational challenges. An experience that not only gives them a feel for the profession, but also prospects and future prospects.
Around 70 pupils were also on site at Imbach's parent company Galliker, where they explored the wide range of professions on offer. At the headquarters in Altishofen, they were able to immerse themselves in the logistics and transport areas and learn about everyday working life in the metalworking shop, workshop and tinsmith's workshop.
Rolf Galliker, CEO and COO of the Galliker Group, is always pleased to have such opportunities to give young people an insight into the world of work:
"It is hugely important for us to introduce children and young people to the exciting variety of technical and skilled trades. Through such experiences, we encourage interest in the professions that keep our industry running and thus lay an important foundation for the future. Because one thing is clear: our employees are our most valuable asset."
