Insight into the technology in the new Imbach logistics center

After a construction period of just over two years, the first part of the new Imbach logistics center in Lucerne went into operation in October 2022.

While the second part of the building is due to open at the end of 2024, a new, innovative technology is already in use in the first stage: the fully automated high-bay warehouse and the fully automated small parts warehouse were individually designed by our partner SSI Schaefer for our new building - an essential part of our services in Lucerne. With the automated logistics system, 6,500 pallet spaces and 130,000 containers for storing small parts can be efficiently operated and used.

Imbach puts high-performance photovoltaic system into operation

In a further step towards a sustainable energy supply, we were able to commission a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system at the Imbach headquarters in Schachen at the beginning of October. The new system has an impressive output of 1,156 kWp and produces around 1,204 MWh of electricity per year. This provides enough energy to supply around 256 households for a year.
