Spare parts logistics in the LC7 picks up speed

On January 1, 2024, the building in Nebikon previously leased to Meier + Tobler was incorporated into our own operations as LC7 following extensive renovations - with the aim of not only using the existing space, but also continuously expanding the warehouse and logistics area. With the completion of the extension, we now have a total area of 16,000 m2 at our disposal in LC7.

Of this, 5,250 m2 is used for the manual pallet warehouse and 2,100 m2 for the large parts warehouse - the 780 m2 floor area of the automated small parts warehouse offers space for 32,000 individual containers, while the 3,830 m2 high-bay warehouse has space for 15,000 pallets. The different types of storage make it possible to optimally integrate the extreme variability of stock items into a storage system - because from the smallest items such as screws or seals to entire vehicle side panels, bumpers or complete exhaust systems, there is a wide range of item sizes and shapes in our new warehouse in LC7. Individual storage forms for the largest items, for example, provide space for around 3,300 bumpers and over 1,200 windscreens or doors, while the Kardex small parts warehouse creates additional storage space for more than 10,000 items in the smallest of spaces.

By optimizing processes and storage systems, the space in LC7 is used optimally - in addition, around 45 employees ensure that the daily deliveries and orders are processed without incident in day-to-day logistics. Orders for spare parts that we receive by 5.15 p.m. are already at the respective dealer's premises the following day. This is thanks to direct access to the dealers' buildings and garages, which our drivers receive.

The video produced together with Astara provides an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at LC7. We would like to thank all our employees, customers and suppliers for their trust and great commitment on all sides, both during the commissioning phase and in the day-to-day operation of Logistics Center 7.
